For those of you who voted for Avery - the trans contestant in the “Breast Summer Ever” contest, you should know that she won- by a 77% landslide!

“In Canada, I am not given any health care for being transgendered and I have to pay out of my own pocket for these procedures”, Avery told AMP Radio. “Having breasts would help complete me as a person.”

Buzz Bishop, host of the morning show on AMP Radio, wasn’t surprised at the reasons people entered the controversial contest. “We heard so many touching and powerful stories, but Avery’s story obviously resonated with people. All of us at AMP Radio are thrilled to give Avery the chance to help complete her journey.”

“Avery’s victory in this contest sends a strong message of acceptance and understanding,” said AMP Radio Program Director Kris Mazurak. “We should all be proud to live in a city and society willing to embrace those like Avery and the difficult challenges they face.”

The misgendering in the press-release linked to above isn’t super hopeful, but REGARDLESS let’s just be happy right now that the world is sometimes a lovely place.
